Dr. Reed Tuckson

Dr. Reed Tuckson, author of The Doctor in the Mirror, is the former Chief of Medical Affairs for United Health Group and is now the managing director of Tuckson Health Connections, LLC, a non-profit focused on improving health and healthcare throughout America.

Throughout his career, Dr. Tuckson has been recognized as a leader in public health, academic medicine, organized medicine and private sector health organizations. He has committed himself to a vision of “comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, and integrated health care.”

He is the President of the American Telemedicine Association. He also serves on a variety of boards including the National Academy of Medicine’s Health Sciences Policy Board, the Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care, the Digital Learning Collaborative, the American Telemedicine Association, Cell Therapeutics Inc., and LifePoint Health. He is on the Board of Trustees of Howard University, and he is the Senior Clinical Advisor to United Health Foundation’s America’s Health Rankings epidemiology reports.
